- Whereas an election was duly held in the
city of town of Lorenzo, Texas, in this county on the 1st day
of April 1924, to determine if said town should form an incorporation
for municipal purposes within the boundaries hereinafter described,
and returns of said election have been duly made to and canvassed
by me, from which returns it appears that at said election eighty
two votes were cast for "Corporation" and fifteen votes
were cast for "No Corporation".
- Therefore I, Jake M. Mabe, in my capacity
as County Judge of Crosby County, Texas, do adjudge that said
election resulted in favor of such corporation, and I do hereby
declare that the inhabitants of said territory, hereinafter described,
duly incorporated for municipal purposes, within said boundaries
the name of said city or town being Lorenzo.
That the boundaries of said corporation are as follows: Beginning
at a stone set for the N.E. Corner of Survey No.42 and the S.E.
corner of Survey No.41, Certificate No.36, H. & O.B.Ry. Co.
Original grantee; Thence South 1235 feet to a point in the E.B.
line of said section No.42; Thence V Jest 5382 feet to a point
in the West Boundary line of said Section No. 42; Thence North
1221 feet to a stone set for the N.E. corner of said Section
42; Thence West 546.5 feet along and with the South line of Sec.
No. 56 Thence North 3271 feet to a point in the south line of
Block 14A a subdivision of said Section No. 56; Thence East 5808.5
feet to a point in the East line of said Section No. 41; Thence
South 3721.5 feet, along and with the said E. line of said Section
No.41, to a stone set for the N.E. corner of said Section No.42
and for the S.E. corner of said Section No.41, the place of beginning.
Containing Blocks Nos. One to 106 inclusive as shown by the map
and plat of the said town of Lorenzo, Texas, Recorded on pages
two and three of Volume No.21 of the deed records of Crosby County,
Texas, and Blocks Nos. 25B, l6B, 6B, 5B and 16A which are subdivisions
of said Section No. 56; and Blocks Nos. 192 to 205 inclusive,
subdivisions of said Survey No.41.
- This order is made and entered by me on the
records of the Commissioner's Court of Crosby County, Texas,
this the 2nd day of April, 1924.

- I, Edgar Allen, Clerk of the County Court
and ex-officio clerk of the Commissioners Court of Crosby County,
Texas, do hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct
copy of the order of the commissioners court declaring results
of election in the matter of the incorporation of the town of
Lorenzo, as same appears of record in Vol. 4 page 124 Minutes
Commissioners Court Crosby County, Texas.
