2003 Texas Community Development Fund
    The Lorenzo Water Department is continually devoted to provide safe drinking water for the citizens of our community. The Distribution System has areas that are in continual need of repair. With the costs to repair leaks, including pavement repairs when the leak is under the streets, sometimes the best option is to replace lines. Unfortunatly, this takes money. You can be assured that the Mayor, City Council and City staff are continually seeking funding sources for the needed repairs and improvements. 
         

    The City of Lorenzo will receive grant funding for the 2003 Program year for Water Distribution System improvements.
         

     This project includes:

    • Construction of a new Ground Storage Tank at the 5th Street Water Plant.
    • 5100 foot of Water Main replacement and installation.
    • Installation of 3 fire Hydrants.

    This project has a total projected cost of $290,970.00. Of this amount, the City is receiving $250,000.00 in grant funds. The remaining fund match of $40,970.00 has been set aside into an intrest bearing account reserved for this project.
